Line Art Project

My artwork is very colorful, when looking at my art I get the vibe of spring/ easter. It has yellow, purple, pink and a little blue. There is a big X that runs through the middle of my page and just gives a bigger object to look at,  but still has the depth of the circles and rings behind it. When I was first making my little sketch I had no clue what songs I was listening to, but I know when I was coloring I was listening to songs with more up beat and funky kind of vibes. When we started the coloring it was the week where it was like 70 out in February. Which makes the spring and happy vibe make sense. I love spring and when it is nicer and warmer outside. I think this art kinda shows my bubbly and outgoing side of me. I think the bright colors are fun. When I think of these colors it kinda gives me a positive feeling and vibe. This was my goal for the year and this is kinda shown through my artwork.

When making my artwork I used a softer lead pencil for my sketch knowing I might wanna erase some of my lines and change them. We got little sketch papers and were told to just make a design that comes out of one of the corners of the paper. Taking that paper and making a copy and rotating it around to make different designs. Then tracing them onto a bigger white sheet, once again using that light pencil so when colored over with colored pencil it wouldn’t be so noticeable. When coloring some of the lines were colored solid dark and some were shaded to make it look like a tube or donut looking shape.

I think my artwork went well, it started to become rushed at the end because we had this crazy week with state girls basketball and playing three days. This made it hard to make the time to get great work time on my art.
